Your Journey With Us
What to expect at every step on the way!
Trust and transparency matter to us, and your product development journey will be much smoother if we're open and honest with each other.
Taking the first step can be daunting so it's always good to know what to expect before you start.
Based on our years of experience, we'll use this information to assess the timings and costs of the project.
At this stage, we're likely to offer a fixed price quote for the initial phases of work, and a good estimate for the later phases. (As the project progresses we'll be able to refine the estimates and offer you a detailed quotation for the later phases too.)
We'll follow up with you to check that you're happy with the Proposal, and fine tune it as needed to make sure everyone's satisfied that it properly reflects your requirements and is clear in what we're offering you.
If it contains all the information we need, we'll be able to give you a manufacturing quote straight away, with a delivery time guideline and typically with price breaks for different quantities.
If some further work is needed to produce a comprehensive pack of manufacturing data, we'll offer you a proposal for completing this work and an estimate of the likely final assembly costs.
Please give us a formal Purchase Order so we can track your project through our system.
We'll ask you to pay an up-front deposit (a percentage of the overall costs) at this stage too, to guarantee the work.
All this helps us get off to a really good start with a clear understanding between both parties of what exactly we've each committed to.
Additionally you will have a Project Manager assigned to you, and they'll make sure they keep you regularly updated with progress throughout the development.
In the early stages of the project, we'll need input from you - particularly when we're compiling the detailed requirements specification - so we'll share documents and ask you to review and approve them in good time so we can move on with the design.
For every product (or batch of PCBAs) that we manufacture, we'll also give you a corresponding Production Build Certificate which details the exact build state of your system including serial numbers and software configurations, so you can keep track of exactly what you've got.
Of course we'll have been in constant communication with you throughout the project, but we'll probably ask for specific feedback about our service at this point too. This helps us make sure that all our clients are happy with the work we've done for them, and helps us continuously improve our business and customer service even further.
Helping us to deliver the best to you
We do our best to deliver quality designs and products to you. In return, please help us by:
- sharing as much background and context about the project as you can
- sharing technical information with us
- reviewing deliverables promptly
- maintaining good communication and honest conversations
- being proactive in areas that remain your own responsibility (e.g. regulatory approvals)
