Investigating and reverse engineering a design to determine the fault in a range of digital and analogue pump controllers.
The challenge
By the time they approached us, our client had already placed on the market a range of products that had been designed and manufactured in the Far East. Unfortunately, they also had many failures with these units. As many of these faults were occurring in-field the issue was affecting consumer confidence as well as hitting finances. The original design house were unable to rectify the problem and the issue was was rapidly escalating into a crisis for our client.
Thankfully, our engineers were on hand to help. Despite the limitations of having no technical documentation or design history to work from, we carefully examined the units to reverse engineer and analyse the design, identify the problem and propose a tested working solution.
